This is just a heads up with a fuller post to follow. I actually saw Coraline in the theaters (though sadly not in 3-D) and it was awesome, so I already think it's a DVD worth buying. But I'll check out the special features as well and give a buy/not buy verdict.
Still haven't been able to rent it yet...hopefully will get to it by Thursday.

Woohoo! I made an accout just because I like your movie reviews and wanted to comment! This isn't the best way for me to start out, but I actually disagree with you on this one. I did see it in 3D and to be honest, if it hadn't been for the 3D effect I probably would have left early. I thought the animation was great but the story just fell flat for me. I'd be interested to watch this one again just to see if maybe I missed something or maybe I was just in the mood for something different that day and the second time around could change my mind, but I definitely won't be buying this one in the near future. I will, however, say to anyone who reads this that you should probably trust Mingo's opinion over mine when it comes to movies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading Justin! I really chose Coraline because it's miles away from most of the animated films coming out these days. I did think the story had some flaws, but I wanted to watch it again to give it a fresh review. I saw it when it came out so all I really remember is that I generally liked it.
ReplyDeleteI just saw the directors cut of Watchmen. I knew nothing at all about it going into it other than my friend Ken said I HAD to see it. He was right. I loved it! I'd really be curious to see your review on that one!
ReplyDeleteI almost chose Watchman for this week! For me it was a little different having read the comic, but I can do a review on it for next week.
